Step 1

Start with an Organizational Assessment

An Organizational Assessment from Resilience Impact will give you the information you need to develop a plan for implementing a Trauma-Informed Schools Model.  The assessment will look at the 6 key elements as explained in The Guide to Trauma-Informed Schools that is available at no cost here.

Step 2

Move it to Action with a Launch Plan

A Launch Plan moves you to the next step in implementing the Trauma-Informed Schools model.  Using the information gathered in your Organizational Assessment, Denise will meet with site leadership to determine which 3 of the 6 elements to focus on for the first year.  Together the team will develop a 12 month plan that addresses strategy selection, capacity building, training needs, stakeholder engagement, outcome data planning, and fidelity measures. The end result will be a document and process steps that can guide your work over the first year of implementation.

Step 3

Have an Expert Partner with Year One Implementation Support

After your leadership team has developed a Launch Plan of how your school will be transformed using the Trauma-Informed Schools model, we can help you put that plan into action.  Our Year One Implementation Support Package assists with executing your plan, from capacity building to system alignment, and gives your leadership team an expert partner in moving forward.

In addition to running my own events, I regularly present on a variety of topics of interest to educational and mental health providers. Educators and mental providers have unique learning needs and peer discussion and reflection are crucial components to effective professional development.   In every presentation, I incorporate the expertise of those in the room and challenge participants to engage in divergent thinking when meeting the needs of those they serve.
